Contactless Cards are upgraded versions of existing Chip-based cards. Besides having EMV Chip and magnetic stripe security, these also feature a contactless (NFC) chip embedded inside which allows you to simply “tap” to pay – Contactless card allows you to pay by simply holding your card near the payment terminal, rather than swiping or inserting – quick and easy.
It’s Smart, Simple and Secure. Contactless cards allow you to make payments by simply waving over the Card Reader or POS without the need to swipe, sign or enter a PIN. Contactless card helps for faster checkout when tapped at contactless-enabled merchant terminals for payments of less than NPR 5,000.
Check the front your debit or credit card for a sideways inverted Wi-Fi symbol – it means that your card has the contactless feature. If you don’t see the symbol, you can still use the card by inserting or swiping it.
Yes, Contactless cards are as secure as any other EMV Chip card. They carry the same multiple layers of security, which ensure that you are safe from fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.

Currently, you can tap your card at any contactless enabled terminal for making payment up to NPR 5,000.00 per transaction. This limit may change time to time as per regulations from Nepal Rastra Bank.

Verified by Visa is a unique service offered by Visa International that uses a One Time PIN (OTP) to protect a cardholder against unauthorised use. Once activated, your Visa Card number cannot be used for online purchases at participating Merchants without the One Time PIN (OTP) that is sent via a SMS to your mobile phone that is registered with the Bank. Alternatively, you can also choose to receive the OTP at your registered Email address.
Verified-by-Visa is designed to give you an extra level of protection against unauthorized card use when making online purchases with your Laxmi Sunrise Bank Visa Card. This is also called a 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) which means you need access to both – your card and mobile phone and/or email, to complete an online payment.

This would imply that the online merchant is not yet enrolled in the Verified by Visa service. You can choose to use this merchant and complete your transaction however it is strongly recommended that all online commerce be done only with trusted merchants.

It may depend on applicant details and type; but it generally it takes minimum 3 to 4 working days to issue a credit card.
No, for security reasons, your credit card will be not activated immediately. Hence, while receiving your card, please inform the branch to activate the card and then change the default PIN.
You can submit our Debit Authority from your nearest branch with details and authorized signature.
